Denise, 74, of Lawrenceville, IL, died Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital. Born June 25, 1937, in Brainerd, Minn., to Floyd and Marian Liners Brusseau, she was a retired teacher and a member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Lawrenceville IL. She is survived by her husband, John C. Ortman, whom she married on March 5, 2001; a step-daughter, Jay (Jim) Creech of Lawrenceville; two step-sons, Terry (Rita) Ortman of Godfrey and Jim (Alisa) Ortman of Winston-Salem, N.C.; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Joan Hiller of Arizona. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Lyle Brusseau. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 19, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Burial will be at a later date in Evergreen Cemetery in Brainerd, Minn.
