Berniece Hedquist was born August 27, 1937, to Ida and Rudolph Haux in Forbes North Dakota. Berniece arrived in Heaven October 21, 2019.
Family was important to Berniece and she made everyone of us feel very special. She made sure that her family and anyone that she came in contact was cared for. She liked to entertain and would invite you over for a meal at anytime and you would be invited many times over for more food. She was very active in her church with Bible studies and other women’s programs and was not afraid to share the Love of Jesus with anyone. Her love to care and help others is what her family saw in her and it influenced their lives forever.
Berniece married Carl Hedquist on March 3, 1956. They were inseparable and shared many wonderful memories together with family and friends.
She leaves behind her husband, Carl; children, Linda (Ben) Wicklund, Kevin (Terri) Hedquist, Cindy (Pietz) Hedquist; 8 grandchildren and 17 great grand children.
Berniece was preceded in death by her parents Rudolph and Ida Haux, Carls parents John and Jenny Hedquist; Sisters, Florence Eide and Debbie Holsapple, Brother, Jim Haux; brothers-in-law, Carl Eide, Carl Holsapple, Willard Hedquist; Son, Vernon Hedquist.
Celebration of life is scheduled for Saturday October 26, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at First Lutheran Church in Brainerd. Visitation will be at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home October 25, 2019 at 5:00-7:00 p.m. and one hour before the service. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Brainerd. Arrangements with Nelson-Doran Funeral Home.
