Ione (Lightner) Malloy Feb 04, 1937 --- Jan 12, 2012 Ione, age 74, resident of Brainerd, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2012, at St. Cloud Hospital. Ione was born on Feb. 4, 1937, in Fort Ripley to Howard and Gladys (Nichols) Lightner. Ione was united in marriage to Tom Malloy on Aug. 13, 1954. Survivors include her husband, Tom; children, Lori (Clayton) Caird, Jeff (Brenda) and Brad; her brother, Bud “Larry” (Margaret) Lightner; grandchildren, Clayton (Heather), Travis (Amanda), Scott (Julie), Tyler, Tiffany, Kelsy; great-grandchildren, Addyson, Esme, Carson, Mason Clayton, Sam, Linda and Makenzie. She was preceded in death by her parents; and by sisters, Doty (George) Koering, Loraine (Kenneth) Carlson. Services will be held 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 16, 2012, at Zion Lutheran Church in Brainerd with Pastors Dean Mahlum and Harvey Peterson officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday at the Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
