Darren A. Lind May 11, 1937 - - - May 15, 2019 Darren A. Lind, age 82, resident of Baxter, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2019 in Northern Lakes Senior Living. Darren was born May 11, 1937 in Brainerd to Russell and Esther (Hanson) Lind. After serving in the Army, Darren graduated from St Cloud State University. He married Judith Lively in 1965. They spent a few years in California then moved to Pine River, where he taught high school science until retiring. He enjoyed fishing, tennis, gardening and spending time with family. In recent years Darren was known for his love of music. He is survived by his daughters, Kathi Lind and Karolin Boaz; granddaughters, Holly, Heidi and Karlene; and brother, Daniel Lind. Preceded in death by his wife, Judith; parents; brother, Ramon and sister, Carol Tollefson. Services will be held 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 28, 2019 at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd with visitation beginning the hour prior to services. Military Honors will be provided by Brainerd American Legion and V.F.W. Color Guard. Burial will be in Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery. Arrangements with Nelson-Doran Funeral Home.
