Robert, 74 went to bewith the Lord on July 14, 2011. Bob was born on March 24, 1937, in Brainerd, Minn., at home, the son of Ernest and Lina (Wolleat) Lively. Upon graduation from Brainerd High School and after owning his own gas station for a short time, Bob went to work at the Potlatch Paper Mill where he was employed for 38 years. In January of 1958, he married Judy Brown, the love of his life, and they enjoyed 53 years with each other. Together they raised four children. After retirement he went to work at Ace Hardware for a short time to keep himself busy. Being raised around the used car business, Bob enjoyed buying and selling vehicles. He liked watching auto racing, the Vikings and the Twins. Having had a lake home, Bob enjoyed boating, water skiing and fishing with family and friends and inviting whoever happened to come over to come along. No one was a stranger for long. Bob and Judy loved camping and in his earlier years, Bob used his talents to convert several buses to family RVs. Bob was known for telling stories and jokes around the campfire and wasn’t above pulling a prank or two. Bob enjoyed making new friends and lending a helping hand where he could. Bob was a long time member of the Brainerd Eagles Club and he held the position of trustee for many years. He volunteered many hours on the Fourth of July and other occasions helping out. Bob is survived by his wife, Judy; his children Steven (Karen) Lively, Brainerd, Stacy (Clifford) Kimball, Deerwood, Renee (Sean) Reed, Brainerd, and son-in law, Jim Loss, Brainerd; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Donna McDonald, Washington State, Judith (Darren) Lind, Pine River, his nieces and nephews and many friends. Preceding Bob in death are his daughter Regan Loss; his sister Jeanine Richard; and his parents. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2011, at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd. A private burial will be held at a later date. Bob will be missed by many. He loved and was loved dearly
