Margaret Ruud
Margaret 96, Brainerd, died Sunday, July 9, 2000, at Bethany Good Samaritan Village of Brainerd.
She was born Aug. 22, 1903, in Fosston to Edward and Amunda (Jacobsen) Ruud. She graduated from high school and the University of North Dakota. She obtained a master's degree from Denver University. She taught in Minnesota for 44 years and spent the last 20 years teaching business classes at Brainerd High School. Upon her retirement in 1969, she became active in the local, state and national Retired Educators Associations, the Jolly Freetimers of Trinity Lutheran and the Crow Wing County Historical Society. She was a member of the arboretum, XI Chapter of ADK and a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she served as a historian.
Survivors include many special friends.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran church with Pastors David P. Holte and Juli Sutton-Deem officiating. Burial will be in Kingo Lutheran Cemetery of Fosston.
Arrangements are with Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home.
